Noel Williams and Mar­vin Oliv­er scored two goals each as ti­tle-hold­er Cli­co San Juan Jabloteh ham­mered De­fence Force (Su­per League) 5-0 in its Toy­ota Clas­sic round-of-16 clash at the Lar­ry Gomes Sta­di­um, Mal­abar on Sat­ur­day night. With the win, Jabloteh which de­feat­ed St Ann's Rangers 2-1 in last year's fi­nal joined pre­vi­ous win­ner, bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic (2007), Unit­ed Petrotrin (2006) and W Con­nec­tion (2005) which all won on Fri­day night, in the quar­ter­fi­nals which takes place to­mor­row.

Al­so through to the last eight are Ma Pau, Rangers and De­fence Force (Pro League) which trounced Su­per League run­ner-up T&TEC 3-0 in Sat­ur­day's sec­ond match at Mal­abar. Last night, Su­per League clubs, 1976 An­gos­tu­ra Phoenix and M&M Har­vard faced off in the fi­nal round-of-16 en­counter at Mal­abar. In to­mor­row's quar­ter­fi­nal round, Jabloteh plays Petrotrin; Rangers face Phoenix/Har­vard; De­fence Force (Pro League) squares off with Joe Pub­lic in a re­match of the First Cit­i­zens Cup fi­nal and W Con­nec­tion tan­gles with Ma Pau.

At Mal­abar, util­i­ty play­er Williams scored in the 16th and 67th min­utes, Oliv­er in the 58th and 72nd be­fore play­er/as­sis­tant coach Travis Mul­raine com­plet­ed the scor­ing in the 79th minute. In the sec­ond match, De­fence Force Pro League out­fit got a goal each from Sean Nar­cis (18th), Jer­wyn Balt­haz­ar (25th) and Kevon Carter (33rd) to shut out T&TEC.
