Cale­do­nia AIA will get a chance to de­fend its ti­tle when it meets ti­tle-hun­gry bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic in the fi­nal of the 2009 Dig­i­cel Pro Bowl com­pe­ti­tion. The two teams edged past their op­po­nents in the semi­fi­nals on Fri­day night in a dou­ble head­er at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, Mu­cu­rapo. Cale­do­nia, the Mor­vant/Laven­tille-based team, had to wait un­til the 81st minute to break the dead­lock against De­fence Force in the first match. The even­tu­al match win­ner came from a Ka­reem "Tiny" Joseph's free-kick on the left side from out­side the 18-yard box, which left cus­to­di­an Kevin Gra­ham as a spec­ta­tor.

This is the sec­ond win for the AIA team over their op­po­nents af­ter its 7�6 sud­den death penal­ty kicks in the T&T Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion (TTFF) FA Tro­phy quar­ter­fi­nal match at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya last Mon­day. Cale­do­nia, who will meet the "East­ern Li­ons" in the FA semi­fi­nal to­mor­row, will take on the in­form Pub­lic on Fri­day De­cem­ber 11 at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um. Pub­lic, on the oth­er hand, hunt­ing a fourth ti­tle af­ter claim­ing the 2009 Dig­i­cel Pro League, Big Six and Toy­ota Clas­sic, got the bet­ter of Ma Pau in the sec­ond en­counter. Un­like Cale­do­nia, Pub­lic got its item ear­ly, and was able to hold off the "Casi­no Boys". Pub­lic took the lead in the 13th minute as na­tion­al winger Hay­den Tin­to's first time vol­ley crashed in­to the net.
