Lending good support was captain Andre Creary with an even 50 and John Campbell with 26. The pick of the bowlers for Canada was Hiral Patel who took 2/24. Canada chasing 232 runs for victory at a run rate off 5.27 per over, was in trouble at 74 for four, when the heavens opened up. By that time 24.4 overs had been bowled and West Indies were declared winners by 71 runs.
Patel returned with the bat to be the top scorer for Canada with 23, while there was a wicket apiece for West Indies bowlers Jomel Warrican and Patrick Harty.
