Pro­fes­sion­al fe­male box­er, Ria Ram­nar­ine re­mind­ed stu­dents of Mor­vant An­gli­can School on Mon­day that they are the fu­ture of the na­tion and as such they must be­gin to work to­wards achiev­ing ex­cel­lence in their cho­sen fields. Ad­dress­ing the stu­dents dur­ing a vis­it to the school, Ram­nar­ine al­so spoke of the ded­i­ca­tion and dis­ci­pline it re­quires to achieve any lev­el of suc­cess.

"I grew up in a hum­ble home and while my par­ents did not have much mon­ey, they taught us the im­por­tance of self-re­spect, con­fi­dence and dig­ni­ty. Al­ways be­lieve in your­selves and your strength to achieve your goals," said the first fe­male world box­ing cham­pi­on of T&T.

She al­so re­mind­ed the stu­dents to be re­spect­ful and obe­di­ent. "It is very im­por­tant to re­mem­ber your man­ners. Do not for­get to say sim­ple but im­por­tant things like thank you, please, I'm sor­ry and so on." Boxu Potts, the man­ag­er of Ram­nar­ine, ac­com­pa­nied his fight­er on the cour­tesy vis­it. He at­tend­ed the school as a five year old and ex­pressed his ut­most joy at be­ing able to re­vis­it the in­sti­tu­tion.
