Colin Soo Ping Chow, chairman, Ernst & Young Caribbean, has announced several key appointments to its regional management team, effective July 1.
Sheldon Griffith will be appointed partner in the Assurance Services group. He has extensive experience in the retail, distribution, manufacturing and financial services industries. Griffith has worked in Trinidad for the past 15 years, serving key clients with an international and regional presence. He holds a degree in economics and is a fellow of the ACCA.
Juliette Brown will be appointed executive director of tax services. She has a wide range of experience in advising on tax consulting matters such as tax planning strategies for corporations in various industries, and also in providing tax compliance services. She has more than 16 years of tax expertise serving clients locally, regionally and internationally. She holds a degree in accounting and is a fellow of the ACCA. Brown is based at the Jamaica office of Ernst & Young Caribbean.
Bryan Irausquin will be appointed partner in the tax services group. He has a wealth of experience in international tax and business advisory services. Irausquin will be leading the tax practice in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba when its current leader, Angel Bermudez, retires in October 2010. He has more than 11 years of professional experience, and holds a masters in tax and economics.
Vernon Huerta will be appointed partner in the advisory services group. He is experienced in the area of risk and controls and specialises in information technology risk and assurance services. Huerta will be leading the advisory practice in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.
He has more than 15 years of professional experience, and holds a degree in computer science and a post-graduate degree in information technology auditing.
