The media was out in full force last week Wednesday when Sweet Lime Restaurant celebrated the first anniversary of its successful monthly Wine & Jazz concert series. Some media personnel seen last week were Deborah John, Anthony Alexis, Ancil Perez, Gary Cardinez, Sterling Mottley and Cynthia Browne-Moore. Aside from the delectable hors d'oeuvres and vintage wines supplied through the year by distributors like Hadco, Amco, Brydens and Malabar Farms, the other drawing card to Wine & Jazz has been its roster of performers.
On Wednesday's cast were popular acts like, Ken "Professor" Philmore, Michael Boothman, Jason "Fridge" Seecharan, Laureston Special, Arthur Marcial, Jennly Hutchinson, David Baptiste, Gail Valentine, Melissa Prescott, Tequila, Joel Cruickshank, Chris Quamie, and Gail Valentine. Launched a year ago at the popular Ariapita Avenue eatery in Woodbrook, with much pizzazz, last Wednesday John Wallis, CEO of Sunnygroup of Companies (parent company of Sweet Lime Restaurant), was joined by several board members, including Sherry Persad, Michael Warmack, Terrance Rampersad, Earl Durity to celebrate the first anniversary of the Wine & Jazz monthly series.
