Since be­ing crowned Miss Trinidad and To­ba­go Uni­verse last year, La Toya Woods has had a gru­elling but en­joy­able time prepar­ing for her big ap­pear­ance at this month's Miss Uni­verse Pageant, to be held in the pres­ti­gious Man­dalay Bay Re­sort, Las Ve­gas, USA. As the count­down con­tin­ues for La Toya's big night on Au­gust 23, most of her train­ing has end­ed, end­ing with a week of prepa­ra­tion un­der the as­tute eyes of leg­endary queen mak­er Bob­by Ack­bar­ali in Toron­to, Cana­da. La Toya, ac­com­pa­nied by de­sign­er Pe­ter Elias, has al­so done some train­ing in New York.
