Nolan Tash and Kel­ly-Anne Billingy were vot­ed as the "Most Valu­able Play­er" af­ter lead­ing T&T to the men's and women's ti­tle at the 13th Caribbean Zon­al Vol­ley­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (Ca­zo­va) Cham­pi­onship which end­ed on Sun­day night in Suri­name.

The one-week tour­na­ment was con­test­ed at both the Is­may Van Wilgen Sports Hall and the An­tho­ny Sports Hall, Para­mari­bo. Tash, the cap­tain of the T&T team was al­so vot­ed as the men's "Best Scor­er" while team-mate Saleem Ali copped the "Best Set­ter" award.

In the fi­nal, T&T de­feat­ed long-time ri­vals Bar­ba­dos 25-19, 25-20, 25-22 led by Tash with 19 points and 14 from Ger­many-based Marc-An­tho­ny Hon­ore and Jes­sel Davis. The men's fi­nal was a re­peat of the 2006 de­cider in Ba­hamas, won by Bar­ba­dos, while this year's win by T&T was ded­i­cat­ed to the mem­o­ry of for­mer na­tion­al cap­tain, Mark Daly, who died in a ve­hic­u­lar ac­ci­dent last No­vem­ber.
