St George's Acad­e­my Lim­it­ed is a well es­tab­lished pri­vate ed­u­ca­tion­al in­sti­tu­tion that has suc­cess­ful­ly pro­vid­ed sec­ondary, post sec­ondary and In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy Train­ing for the past four­teen years. The Acad­e­my en­vi­sions it­self as a pre­mier ter­tiary in­sti­tu­tion serv­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go and the rest of the Caribbean. They in­tend to achieve this vi­sion through qual­i­ty ed­u­ca­tion­al in­struc­tion in a stu­dent-cen­tered en­vi­ron­ment. They will of­fer an in­no­v­a­tive ed­u­ca­tion at­tuned to the needs of stu­dents prepar­ing for the third mil­len­ni­um there­by con­tribut­ing to the en­rich­ment of so­ci­ety. St George's Acad­e­my was es­tab­lished in 1996 as a phil­an­thropic in­sti­tu­tion com­mit­ted to ac­cess­ing uni­ver­si­ty schol­ar­ships at North Amer­i­can and Unit­ed King­dom uni­ver­si­ties for fi­nan­cial­ly chal­lenged but aca­d­e­m­i­cal­ly bril­liant stu­dents.

Through the years the Acad­e­my has pro­gres­sive­ly ex­pand­ed their cur­ricu­lum to in­clude sec­ondary, post sec­ondary, ter­tiary and in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy pro­grams. They in­tend to es­tab­lish them­selves as a high qual­i­ty tu­ition provider, to do so, they in­tend to pro­vide qual­i­fied lec­tur­ers and su­pe­ri­or stu­dent ser­vices. SGAL has quick­ly grown to an in­sti­tu­tion renowned not on­ly for sourc­ing schol­ar­ships at in­ter­na­tion­al uni­ver­si­ties but al­so as an ap­proved tu­ition provider for CXC and A'Lev­els with the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion. They are al­so reg­is­tered with the Col­lege Board which man­ages the Scholas­tic Ap­ti­tude Test (SAT) and Ad­vanced Place­ment (AP) pro­grammes in the Unit­ed States of Amer­i­ca. This reg­is­tra­tion al­lows the school to reg­is­ter stu­dents for the SAT and AP ex­am­i­na­tion, as well as send of­fi­cial scores to in­ter­na­tion­al uni­ver­si­ties.

St George's Acad­e­my Lim­it­ed is al­so reg­is­tered with the Amer­i­can Col­lege Test (ACT). St George's Acad­e­my Lim­it­ed, is now the sole of­fi­cial se­lect Com­put­er Based Test­ing Cen­ter (CBTC Se­lect) in the en­tire Eng­lish Speak­ing Caribbean re­gion for Pear­son Vue and the Grad­u­ate Man­age­ment Ad­mis­sions Coun­cil (GMAC) to de­liv­er the Grad­u­ate Man­age­ment Ad­mis­sions Test (GMAT) com­put­er based test. The Acad­e­my as a se­lect cen­ter us­es high se­cu­ri­ty pro­ce­dures for the con­duct of ex­am­i­na­tions. Bio­met­rics form part of the ex­am­i­na­tion process. The ex­am­i­na­tion cen­ter serves our Caribbean neigh­bours like An­tigua, Bar­ba­dos, Be­lize, Do­mini­ca, Grena­da, Guyana, Montser­rat, St Lu­cia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vin­cent and The Grenadines and of course Trinidad and To­ba­go.

They are al­so now the sole CBTC in the Caribbean for the fol­low­ing

The Char­tered Fi­nan­cial An­a­lysts (CFA) In­sti­tute com­put­er based ex­am­i­na­tions, the CFA is a grad­u­ate lev­el pro­gramme for in­vest­ment pro­fes­sion­als.

The Unit­ed King­dom Law School Na­tion­al Ad­mis­sions Test (LNAT).

The Na­tion­al Reg­istry of Emer­gency Med­ical Tech­ni­cians (NREMT) Para­medic ex­am­i­na­tions. St George's Acad­e­my ad­min­is­tered the first ever Caribbean NREMT ex­am­i­na­tion in March of 2008.

The Board of Safe­ty Pro­fes­sion­als BC­SP (OSH) Ex­am­i­na­tions.

The In­sti­tute of In­ter­nal Au­di­tors (CIA) Ex­am­i­na­tions. St George's Acad­e­my is proud to say that they ad­min­is­tered the first CIA com­put­er based ex­am­i­na­tion in Trinidad in May of 2008. They felt priv­i­leged to be part of an in­ter­na­tion­al se­lect group ad­min­is­ter­ing the CIA via com­put­er for the first time in his­to­ry.

The Nokia Siemens Net­works Ex­am­i­na­tion.

The Acad­e­my has re­cent­ly strength­ened its po­si­tion by be­com­ing an ACTT reg­is­tered in­sti­tu­tion for the max­i­mum pe­ri­od of three years, all ter­tiary pro­grammes now of­fered are 100% GATE AP­PROVED. The in­sti­tu­tion is al­so an au­tho­rized ter­tiary tu­ition provider for the As­so­ci­a­tion of Busi­ness Ex­ec­u­tives (ABE), they are au­tho­rized to of­fer tu­ition in Cer­tifi­cate, Diplo­ma and Ad­vanced Diplo­ma Cours­es in Busi­ness Man­age­ment, Trav­el and Tourism, Mar­ket­ing, Busi­ness In­for­ma­tion Sys­tems or IT, Hu­man Re­source Man­age­ment and Fi­nan­cial Man­age­ment. The Acad­e­my is ded­i­cat­ed to pro­vid­ing qual­i­ty ed­u­ca­tion and ex­cep­tion­al ser­vice tai­lored to the needs of their stu­dents. The Acad­e­my will con­tin­ue to pur­sue ex­cel­lence in ed­u­ca­tion by con­stant­ly seek­ing to strength­en their po­si­tion as a high qual­i­ty ed­u­ca­tion­al in­sti­tu­tion.
