Jaz­z­point will ded­i­cate its next per­form­ing arts ex­pe­ri­ence to the ninth an­nu­al Daniel Pearl World Mu­sic Days aware­ness ef­fort.The Jaz­z­point Har­mo­ny for Hu­man­i­ty ex­pe­ri­ence is part of the In­ter­na­tion­al Har­mo­ny for Hu­man­i­ty Con­cert Net­work of Daniel Pearl World Mu­sic Foun­da­tion.

The ini­tial Daniel Pearl World Mu­sic Days event in 2002 ho­n­oured the birth­day of Wall Street Jour­nal re­porter Daniel Pearl, an ac­com­plished jour­nal­ist and mu­si­cian who was killed in Pak­istan.

This renowned an­nu­al event joins to­geth­er thou­sands around the world un­der the theme of Har­mo­ny for Hu­man­i­ty to cel­e­brate the pow­er of mu­sic to bring peo­ple to­geth­er and fo­cus on tol­er­ance and our com­mon hu­man­i­ty, rather than, the dif­fer­ences that set us apart.

More than 4,900 per­for­mances have been held in 102 coun­tries since 2002. The first Trinidad and To­ba­go Har­mo­ny for Hu­man­i­ty ex­pe­ri­ence date is Oc­to­ber 31, and the event venue is Petrotrin Staff Club, Pointe-a-Pierre.

Oc­to­ber is Ca­lyp­so His­to­ry Month and Jaz­z­point Live band will fea­ture a mix of Ca­lyp­so Jazz and World Mu­sic with Er­rol Ince and friends, plus Lar­ry Lee Luck, a unique acoustic gui­tarist, and Hun­gar­i­an-born pi­anist Dr Charles Brun­ner and his quar­tet.
