T&T Olympic gold medal­list Je­hue Gor­don will re­ceive the Cha­co­nia Medal (Gold) from Pres­i­dent An­tho­ny Car­mona on Mon­day.

Gor­don (47.69) won gold in the men's 400-me­tre hur­dles at the IAAF World Cham­pi­onships in Moscow, Rus­sia on Au­gust 15, 2013.

How­ev­er, he was out of the coun­try dur­ing the2013 Na­tion­al In­de­pen­dence Award Cer­e­mo­ny at the South­ern Acad­e­my for the Per­form­ing Arts in San Fer­nan­do, held on In­de­pen­dence Day.

Next week's small­er cer­e­mo­ny will take place at the Na­tion­al Acad­e­my for Per­form­ing Arts Chi­nese Restau­rant, 119 Fred­er­ick Street, Port-of-Spain, from 6 pm.
