Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which three advanced, two declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 241,360 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $813,106.45.
The Composite Index advanced by 0.31 points, or by 0.03 per cent, to close at 1,070.04, while the All T&T Index declined by 0.45 points, or by 0.03 per cent, to close at 1,705.71. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.12 points, or by 0.21 per cent, to close at 56.20.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica was the volume leader with 172,022 shares changing hands for a value of $240,580.80, followed by National Flour Mills with a volume of 30,000 shares being traded for $18,000. Jamaica Money Market Brokers contributed 16,747 shares with a value of $9,043.38, while Trinidad Cement Ltd added 6,859 shares valued at $10,219.91.
Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $3.75. Conversely, National Enterprises Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.04 to close at $14.75. The mutual fund market did not record any activity.
Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $4.60. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (Suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
