Homi­cide de­tec­tives have made no progress in the in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to the mur­der of Guardian Me­dia em­ploy­ee Ju­nior Valen­tine.Valen­tine, 50, a se­nior su­per­vi­sor in the T&T Guardian's Pro­duc­tion De­part­ment, was shot dead while speak­ing to a neigh­bour in front of his Fa­ti­ma Trace, Men­tor Al­ley, Laven­tille, home, on Jan­u­ary 11.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, at around 8.30 am two men armed with guns ap­peared and ran to­wards them. The neigh­bour ran in­side his home, while Valen­tine was shot at more than 15 times by the two gun­men. The at­tack­ers then drove away in a car parked near­by.Po­lice said Valen­tine was not the tar­get of the shoot­ing and be­lieve it was his neigh­bour who was the gun­men's tar­get.

Af­ter Valen­tine's mur­der, in­ves­ti­ga­tors said they were search­ing for two pos­si­ble sus­pects. Po­lice had not ar­rest­ed the sus­pects up to late yes­ter­day but were still said to be pur­su­ing the case.Valen­tine's broth­er, Ian, is a re­tired po­lice in­spec­tor and his oth­er broth­er is as­signed to the An­ti-Cor­rup­tion Bu­reau.Cpl Har­vey of the Re­gion One Homi­cide Bu­reau is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
