Since writing last December 9 regarding the terrible Wrightson Road traffic from the West, no improvements have been made to help motorists. Before the changes were made by the Ministry of Works in December, the traffic on Wrightson Road was moving much better. How could they make things more difficult for motorists and be so stubborn to change it back? The traffic turning at the fire station into Sackville Street was not causing any problem for motorists coming from the West.
All the traffic is now trying to use Colville Street but anyone can see that it cannot take all those vehicles and the traffic moving to Colville Street is also now backed up much worse than before. If the traffic from the East to Colville Street and the traffic from the West are both now worse than before, why won't the traffic management division admit that it made a mistake so that motorists can stop suffering? The mayor of Port-of-Spain and the Minister of Works are always complimenting each other about the good job each is doing. Could these two gentlemen please visit Wrightson Road at 8 o'clock on a morning to see the disaster that is going on?
