Alee­sha Bar­ber was among three T&T ath­letes who fin­ished sec­ond on the US Col­le­giate In­door cir­cuit. Bar­ber was run­ner-up in the women's 60m hur­dles fi­nals. The Penn State grad­u­ate crossed the line in 8.17 sec­onds at the Penn State In­vi­ta­tion­al on Fri­day. The Saucony-spon­sored ath­lete was beat­en to the line by Van­nesi­ha Ivy (8.14). Her time im­proves her pre­vi­ous 2012 best time of 8.25 set at the Auburn In­vi­ta­tion­al on Jan­u­ary 21. Bar­ber missed her na­tion­al mark of 8.13 set back in 2009. In the semis and heats ear­li­er in the day Bar­ber clocked 8.20 and 8.31 re­spec­tive­ly. Robert Colling­wood (South­ern Mis­sis­sip­pi) took sec­ond place in the men's shot put at the Birm­ing­ham In­vi­ta­tion­al in Al­aba­ma on Jan­u­ary 25-26. Robert had a best throw of 16.50 with his twin broth­er Richard in third (15.34). Wait­he grabbed sil­ver in the men's 200m in 21.70. At the Arkansas State In­vi­ta­tion­al, Ash­lee Smith was third in the women's weight throw. The Mc Neese State stu­dent threw the im­ple­ment out to 16.15.
