The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) is ad­vis­ing cus­tomers in cen­tral and north Trinidad who may be ex­pe­ri­enc­ing an in­ter­rup­tion or re­duc­tion in their sup­ply that this is as a re­sult of tech­ni­cal prob­lems be­ing ex­pe­ri­enced at the de­sali­na­tion plant in Point Lisas.

The au­thor­i­ty, in a re­lease yes­ter­day, said the sit­u­a­tion de­vel­oped on June 6 and so far has re­main un­re­solved. The au­thor­i­ty said the sit­u­a­tion would be reg­u­larised over a 24-hour pe­ri­od as weath­er con­di­tions im­prove.
