Pan Trin­ba­go's Youth Ral­ly, card­ed for to­day, has been post­poned. The na­tion­al steel­band or­gan­i­sa­tion yes­ter­day is­sued an apol­o­gy for the in­con­ve­nience caused by the post­pone­ment but said the de­ci­sion was due to the un­avail­abil­i­ty of the venue which has been "locked down" in prepa­ra­tion for the Re­pub­lic's An­nu­al In­de­pen­dence Pa­rade.

The event, part of Pan Trin­ba­go's Steel­band Band Month, will now take place on Sep­tem­ber 29 at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Ad­mis­sion is free. Eight youth steel or­ches­tras, in­clud­ing Ju­nior Panora­ma cham­pi­ons, will dis­play their mu­sic ver­sa­til­i­ty. In a me­dia re­lease yes­ter­day, the or­gan­is­ing com­mit­tee of the event ex­pressed their re­grets for the non-stag­ing of this event on the pre­vi­ous­ly ad­ver­tised date but gave the as­sur­ance that Sep­tem­ber 29 event would be worth the wait.
