Dottin hits ruthless 203 in T20 match

West In­dies Women's batswoman De­an­dra Dot­tin hit a ruth­less, un­beat­en 203 off 62 balls as Tech­nocrats ral­lied to a 141-run win over San Raphael in the East­ern Cred­it Union T&T Women's Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion T20 Tour­na­ment at Ari­ma West Sec­ondary School on Sun­day. Dot­tin, who be­came the first woman to score an in­ter­na­tion­al T20 hun­dred against South Africa in St Kitts last year, hit an as­ton­ish­ing 25 six­es and eight fours as she guid­ed her team to a mas­sive 297 for five in their 20 overs. Af­ter play­ing a dot on her first ball, she prompt­ly hit the next three for six and nev­er looked back, rac­ing to 50 in 23 balls, 100 in 34, 150 in 47 and 200 in 62 be­fore re­tir­ing. She shared in a 56-run part­ner­ship for the first wick­et with Oire Trot­man (7) and put on 125 for the sec­ond with Whit­ney Cud­joe (7).

Fel­low West In­di­an play­er Sta­cy Ann King al­so played ag­gres­sive­ly, belt­ing 39 off 14 balls to­wards the end of the in­nings. In re­ply, San Raphael reached 122 for five in their 20 overs with Bren­da Solozano mak­ing 27 not out and Tech­nocrats con­ced­ing 53 ex­tras. Can­dace La Bor­de was the pick of bowlers with four for 23 in four overs while Dot­tin bowled three wick­et­less overs for 14. In oth­er news, this week­end's T20 match­es have been post­poned be­cause of the As­so­ci­a­tion's dif­fi­cul­ty in find­ing venues.
