New Planning Minister Dr Bhoendradatt Tewarie took up duty at the Eric Williams Finance Building on Independence Square yesterday.He went to office at 9 am and met with permanent secretary Juliana Johan-Boodram.Tewarie was appointed Minister on Tuesday, one day after Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar advised President George Maxwell Richards to revoke Mary King's appointment as minister.Tewarie attended his first Cabinet meeting since being appointed on Thursday. Yesterday when he went to office he got down to work immediately. After discussions with Johan-Boodram he met with department heads.
