New Plan­ning Min­is­ter Dr Bhoen­dra­datt Tewarie took up du­ty at the Er­ic Williams Fi­nance Build­ing on In­de­pen­dence Square yes­ter­day.He went to of­fice at 9 am and met with per­ma­nent sec­re­tary Ju­liana Jo­han-Boodram.Tewarie was ap­point­ed Min­is­ter on Tues­day, one day af­ter Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar ad­vised Pres­i­dent George Maxwell Richards to re­voke Mary King's ap­point­ment as min­is­ter.Tewarie at­tend­ed his first Cab­i­net meet­ing since be­ing ap­point­ed on Thurs­day. Yes­ter­day when he went to of­fice he got down to work im­me­di­ate­ly. Af­ter dis­cus­sions with Jo­han-Boodram he met with de­part­ment heads.
