FC Santa Rosa keeps winning in NYFL

A first half hat­trick from FC San­ta Rosa's Jor­dan De­von­ish helped seal and em­phat­ic 6-0 win over QPCC in Group A of the Na­tion­al Youth League un­der-17 on Sun­day to take the club top of the ta­ble. Four dif­fer­ent scor­ers, Du­ane Muck­ette, Akeel Mod­este, David Leza­ma and De­von­ish, were on tar­get for San­ta Rosa on Match day four at YTC in Arou­ca. The re­sult means that San­ta Rosa stand on two wins and a draw with a pos­i­tive goal dif­fer­ence of nine, while QPCC re­mains win­less af­ter con­ced­ing 10 goals.

Ma­yaro Spurs and Ea­gles Unit­ed played in the af­ter­noon game at the Ma­yaro Recre­ation Ground in the same group. Ren­dell Mc In­tosh al­so record­ed a hat­trick for Ma­yaro Spurs (13th, 21st and 50th min­utes) while Ro­mario Gon­za­lez net­ted the oth­er their team's con­vinc­ing 4-1 win­ning dis­play. An­to­nio Jef­frey scored the con­so­la­tion in the first half which ini­tial­ly looked like a goal which may have turned the match around. With the win, Ma­yaro and Ea­gles sit in sec­ond and third po­si­tions re­spec­tive­ly in the group.

In group B, West Side Su­per Starz FC de­feat­ed new­com­ers Tu­na­puna Ti­tans 4-0 to share the lead at the top of ta­ble with Club San­do on six points. An in form An­drew Charles scored his sec­ond dou­ble in sev­en days. Av­ery Thomas and Ke­ston Fred­er­ick scored one each. De­on O'Gar­ro, Ro­mar­i­on Black­ette and Ja­son Phillip were the scor­ers for Cap Off Youths in the cen­tral club's 3-1 win over Joe Pub­lic FC. Is­rael Hon­ore scored late in the match for Joe Pub­lic. Mean­while, in Sat­ur­days fix­tures in un­der-15 di­vi­sion, QPCC were again the sub­ject of a heavy de­feat.

M&M Har­vard's Josh Tou­s­saint scored the on­ly goal in the first half be­fore Glen­roy Pierre's sin­gle ef­fort and An­ferme Marin's dou­ble in the sec­ond half sealed a 4-0 win over the Parkites. FC San­ta Rosa sealed a nar­row 1-0 win over Ea­gles Unit­ed with a 62nd minute Ja­mal Lewis ef­fort. San­ta Rosa are now on top of Group A with nine points af­ter se­cur­ing a per­fect three vic­to­ries in as many games. De­spite los­ing 3-2 to the Tu­na­puna Ti­tans, FC San­ta Rosa re­main top of Group A in the un­der-13 di­vi­sion on six points. The Ti­tans, with a game in hand, se­cured a first win and are now on four points.

Afton Moli­no opened the scor­ing the in the fifth minute for San­ta Rosa, be­fore the Ti­tans replied with three goals in quick suc­ces­sion in the 13th and 19th min­utes from Jabari May­ers and Ronal­do Boyce in the 25th minute. John-Paul Rochford brought one back for San­ta Rosa in the 35th minute but the scor­ing was fin­ished for the match. In Group B, the Cap Off Youths al­so record­ed a third win in as many games af­ter de­feat­ing Club San­do 2-1. The teams are first and sec­ond place in the group stand­ings re­spec­tive­ly. Joe Pub­lic al­so won their match against Re­al Mara­cas 2-1. The two main­tain a place in third and forth.
