Ra­jesh Latchoo was con­firmed as head coach of bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic for the 2011-2012 TT Pro League sea­son. Joe Pub­lic gen­er­al man­ag­er Sam Phillip made the an­nounce­ment pub­licly dur­ing the clos­ing cer­e­mo­ny of the club's HOPE (Help­ing Oth­ers is a Pri­or­i­ty Every­day) GIB( Giv­ing It Back) project on the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um main field-one day be­fore Latchoo's 27th Birth­day on June 8.

And sure­ly it was a gift worth un­wrap­ping for the Princess Town boy. "Ra­jesh Latchoo is now the head coach of Joe Pub­lic," he said. "We have cre­at­ed his­to­ry once more, with the youngest coach in the League." Latchoo, qui­et­ly found him­self at the top coach­ing spot with the club fol­low­ing the re­lease of 2009 five-ti­tle-win­ning coach Derek King in Feb­ru­ary.

Latchoo im­me­di­ate­ly switched his role as as­sis­tant coach to in­ter­im head coach but was left with lim­it­ed re­sources af­ter the club had al­ready part­ed ways with in­flu­en­tial play­ers Japan­ese Yu Hoshide, mid­field­er Trent Noel and top for­ward Ker­ry Bap­tiste. Look­ing ahead to the new sea­son which be­gins on Au­gust 12, 2011, Latchoo wel­comes the chal­lenge as head coach.
