Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar has been briefed on the mul­ti­lat­er­al, bi­lat­er­al and con­sular di­men­sions of the T&T High Com­mis­sion's port­fo­lio in Lon­don. Per­sad-Bisses­sar was al­so told about the range of con­sular ser­vices pro­vid­ed by the mis­sion, in­clud­ing as­sis­tance to stu­dents and to na­tion­als in dis­tress. She was briefed on these as­pects when she vis­it­ed the High Com­mis­sion's of­fice on Thurs­day, a re­lease from the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter stat­ed. The state­ment said she was al­so in­formed about the many ac­tiv­i­ties planned for 2012, name­ly: the Car­ni­val in Cardiff, Wales; the five-week Trinidad and To­ba­go Vil­lage dur­ing the Lon­don Olympics; and oth­er 50th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions aimed at high­light­ing trade and in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties in T&T.

The Prime Min­is­ter re­it­er­at­ed her vi­sion for the mis­sion and thanked the High Com­mis­sion­er and his staff for their hard work and ded­i­cat­ed ser­vice to T&T.
