Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has been briefed on the multilateral, bilateral and consular dimensions of the T&T High Commission's portfolio in London. Persad-Bissessar was also told about the range of consular services provided by the mission, including assistance to students and to nationals in distress. She was briefed on these aspects when she visited the High Commission's office on Thursday, a release from the Office of the Prime Minister stated. The statement said she was also informed about the many activities planned for 2012, namely: the Carnival in Cardiff, Wales; the five-week Trinidad and Tobago Village during the London Olympics; and other 50th anniversary celebrations aimed at highlighting trade and investment opportunities in T&T.
The Prime Minister reiterated her vision for the mission and thanked the High Commissioner and his staff for their hard work and dedicated service to T&T.
