West Indies women's cricketer Deandra Dottin piloted Technocrats to a nail-biting two-run victory over Phoenix in the T&T Women's Cricket Associations (TTWCA) annual season opening Sixes competition.
The exciting affair unfolded at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva on Sunday.
Dottin was named the Player of the Tournament after amassing 116 runs in five innings, only being dismissed once in the competition.
In the final, Dottin scored an unbeaten 30 runs in her team's total of 41 for 2.
Phoenix responded with 39 fro 2, requiring 12 runs in the last over to win the match. They managed only ten runs. Felicia Walters led the charge for Phoenix with 19 runs.
The 40-over League competition bowls off on Sunday with matches at various around T&T.
