As families across Trinidad and Tobago continue to grapple with food insecurity, Brunswick has donated 2,500 cans of its products to SEWA International Trinidad & Tobago and the T&T Food Bank.
The donation was formally presented on Wednesday, August 5, at AMCO’s head office in Chaguanas, marking the culmination of the Brunswick Colour Dash 5K 2026 and its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
Held on Saturday, July 25, the family-friendly event brought together thousands of participants, who gained entry by purchasing any five Brunswick products. The initiative transformed an everyday grocery purchase into an opportunity to support organisations working to address hunger across the country.
Under the theme, “Every Step Counts. Every Can Matters,” the Colour Dash brought businesses, families and communities together around a shared goal of providing assistance to people in need.
Beyond the race itself, the initiative sought to raise awareness of food insecurity while providing tangible support to organisations on the front lines of the fight against hunger.
Representatives of SEWA International T&T and the T&T Food Bank accepted the donation on behalf of the individuals and families they serve.
They highlighted the importance of partnerships between businesses, community organisations and the wider public in strengthening efforts to address food insecurity and ensuring vulnerable households have access to nutritious food.
The donation also underscores the potential impact of collective action, with the Colour Dash demonstrating how community participation can translate into meaningful assistance for those facing difficult circumstances.
The initiative serves as a reminder that addressing food insecurity requires more than individual efforts. Through partnerships, compassion and community participation, businesses and citizens can contribute to creating stronger support networks for vulnerable families across T&T.
