Carnival Is Fashion 2 delivered an electrifying showcase of creativity, attracting a larger audience than last year and transforming the Queen’s Park Savannah Grand Stage into a vibrant celebration of fashion, music and masquerade.
The event featured an impressive lineup of designers, including The Cloth; Zadd & Eastman; Dianne Hunt/Tennessee Ramnarinesingh; DAWW Creations; Indigenous Philosophy by Dominique La Roche; SGP Resort; SM Warner…Art with Attitude; Yesa Designs; Mark Eastman; Elizabeth Lucas; Lost Tribe; and special guest designer April Walker.
High-energy musical performances by soca stars Patrice Roberts and Nailah Blackman punctuated the runway experience, keeping the momentum high throughout the evening. Adding unmistakable Carnival flair, traditional characters such as Blue Devils, Jab Jab, Bats and Moko Jumbies, alongside a pulsating Tambu Bamboo band, moved seamlessly through the production, further captivating the audience.
Conceptualised and produced by Richard Young, Carnival Is Fashion 2 reinforced the National Carnival Commission’s commitment to spotlighting all dimensions of Carnival — from mas and music to fashion and performance. The production appealed to a wide cross-section of audiences while showcasing Trinidad and Tobago’s creative excellence on one of the region’s most iconic stages.
