Fresh off a string of landmark performances and sold-out shows, KesTheBand has announced a major expansion of its international Roots, Rock, Soca Tour, adding new dates across the United States and Canada while broadening its European run to meet growing demand from global audiences.
The announcement marks another milestone for the group, which continues to carry the rhythms and spirit of Caribbean music onto some of the world’s most prominent stages.
What began as a three-city European tour has quickly grown into a multi-continent musical journey, now including a second show in Amsterdam and a brand-new stop in Antwerp, Belgium.
The North American leg of the tour will bring the band’s high-energy performances to major music cities across the United States and Canada, with shows scheduled from Seattle and Portland to New York, Boston and Toronto.
The expansion follows a breakthrough year for the group, highlighted by their sold-out performances at Central Park’s SummerStage series in 2025 and a historic January 2026 headline appearance at the Unity Jazz Festival at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
For lead singer Kees Dieffenthaller, performing in cities that helped shape global music history carries special meaning.
“Taking soca to legendary music cities around the world is deeply meaningful for us,” Dieffenthaller said. “These are places that have shaped global music history for generations. To bring the sound of T&T—the spirit of Carnival, the rhythm of our ancestors, the joy of our people—into those spaces is powerful.”
He added that the tour is about firmly placing soca music in the wider global music conversation.
“Soca belongs on those stages. It belongs in every conversation about world music.”
The tour’s title reflects the band’s evolving musical identity.
“Roots” pays homage to the deep influences of calypso, African rhythms and ancestral storytelling that shaped Caribbean music. “Rock” represents experimentation and growth, incorporating global sounds and modern production. And “Soca” remains the pulsating core of the band’s signature sound—joyful, energetic and unmistakably Caribbean.
Together, the three elements form what fans have come to recognise as the distinctive musical identity of KesTheBand.
The group has long blended soca with elements of reggae, R&B and pop, producing international hits such as Cocoa Tea, Hello and Savannah Grass, songs that have become staples of Caribbean festivals and concerts worldwide.
Presented in partnership with William Morris Endeavor and Live Nation, the tour highlights the growing international appetite for Caribbean music and live soca performances. Fans can expect immersive concerts combining beloved anthems with fresh arrangements that reflect the band’s artistic evolution.
Behind the scenes, a large touring team supports the band’s elaborate stage production, including musicians, engineers, technicians and creative staff working together to deliver the dynamic live experience the group is known for.
The core lineup features Dieffenthaller on vocals, alongside keyboardists Geiron Mang and Mario Callender, drummer Dean James, guitarist Jon Dieffenthaller and bassist Riad Boochoon, among others.
The 2026 tour comes during what many fans already consider a defining year for the band.
Beyond expanding their global footprint, the tour signals the continued rise of soca music on the international stage—something Caribbean artists and audiences have long championed.
For KesTheBand, the journey is about more than music. It is also about sharing the culture and stories of T&T with audiences around the world.
With each stop—from European music halls to North American amphitheatres—the band hopes to carry the spirit of Carnival far beyond the Caribbean.
And as the Roots, Rock, Soca Tour continues to grow, one message rings clear: the sound of soca is travelling further than ever before.
