Carlton George aka Mr Sexy has been crowned Kix-See Mister Comedy 2019 on Thursday night at the Woodford Café stage in the side-splitting beauty pageant-styled comedy show.

Comedian Just Lisa (Lisa Allen-Agostini) opened the show in her role as emcee for the pageant. Just Lisa gave a barrage of jokes which earned her laughs throughout the show.

The first contestant was female comic Simmy the Trini (Rhea-Simone Auguste) who played the role of Mr Nove Jose (pronounced no way to say).

Simmy portrayed the role of an illegal immigrant who is on the run from the authorities and barely escaped after handing in his papers to immigration. Sadly, the papers he handed in were copies of three of T&T’s daily newspapers. Simmy also promised to get more Venezuelan food into the digestive system of locals by encouraging them to eat arepas. In order to do this Simmy promised to have an arepa man (pronounced ah raper man) on every street.

Comedian Gabriel Brijmohan portrayed Mr Chillibibi, a man with serious relationship issues who is in search of women. He gave the audience some laugh but did not make it to the finals of the pageant, however.

Female comic Louris “Lyrix” Lee-Sing hit the stage as Mr Shady. She portrayed a man who hides from the police and other enforcement authorities. Mr Shady has 41 children and was looking to procreate more while avoiding paying maintenance monies to his children’s mothers. The winner, Mr Sexy, gave an excellent performance. He called a member of the audience to sit on a chair while he attempted to perform a strip show. The laughs were many, and in the end, the audience decided on the winner.
