For many Car­ni­val lovers, the sea­son does not tru­ly be­gin un­til the first notes of so­ca echo through the hills of the North­ern Range. On Sun­day, that fa­mil­iar sig­nal came once again as So­ka in Mo­ka, the all-in­clu­sive fete held on the grounds of Trin­i­ty Col­lege Mo­ka in Mar­aval, of­fi­cial­ly launched the 2026 Car­ni­val fete sea­son.

Held an­nu­al­ly on the first Sun­day of the of­fi­cial Car­ni­val cal­en­dar, So­ka in Mo­ka has be­come a tra­di­tion­al start­ing point for rev­ellers ea­ger to ease in­to the sea­son.

As the first ma­jor all-in­clu­sive fete of the sea­son, So­ka in Mo­ka once again de­liv­ered on its promise: a so­phis­ti­cat­ed yet live­ly open­ing to Car­ni­val, set against one of the most breath­tak­ing back­drops in T&T.
