Sylvia Vi­o­let Ram­per­saud (nee Bisses­sar) for­mer­ly of Di­a­mond Vale, Diego Mar­tin, passed away peace­ful­ly in Bramp­ton, On­tario, Cana­da on No­vem­ber 23rd 2020 at the age of 94. She was the daugh­ter of the late William and Nel­lie Bisses­sar. Wife of the late Dick­son Ram­per­saud. Beloved moth­er of Car­ol (Buch­n­er), Vish­nu, Jas­min and Sharon Ram­per­saud. Pre­de­ceased by her sons Swamiand Vishram Ram­per­saud. Moth­er-in-law of Bon­nie and Lystra Ram­per­saud and Wolf­gang Buch­n­er. Sis­ter of the late Beat­rice Raghu­nanan and the late Joseph ‘Joe’, Al­bert Boysie’ and Wil­fred ‘Mol­ly’ Bisses­sar. Dear grand­moth­er of Co­lette, Kr­ish­na, Car­olyn, Mark, Vin­cent, Sean, Sharon, Rudranath, Vishram and Sab­ri­na. Great grand­moth­er of Ja­mar, Meghan, Mark, Alex, Ami­ra, Jo­van, Mi­lo, Oliv­er, Olivia, Na­tal­ie, Gillian, Kendall, Kennedy and Am­ber. Aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews in­clud­ing Mar­garet and her fam­i­ly. A woman of deep faith she ex­em­pli­fied strength, courage and in­tegri­ty. She em­bod­ied grace and kind­ness. A friend to many she was looked to for guid­ance and com­fort. Sylvia leaves a lega­cy that those who fol­low would be priv­i­leged to em­u­late. As the ma­tri­arch of the fam­i­ly, she will be dear­ly missed.
