Guardian Holdings Ltd director, Dominic Rampersad, will take over as the chairman of the Westmoorings-based financial services company on October 1.
Rampersad served as president of Phoenix Park Gas Processors for more than a decade before he took early retirement from the NGC subsidiary in November last year.
He joined the board of GHL, which is majority owned by Jamaica’s NCB Financial Group, in December 2025
Rampersad will replace Robert Almeida, who steps down as NCBFG’s Group CEO on September 30, three years after taking up the position during a period of leadership change at the Jamaican financial conglomerate.
Almeida will also leave the boards of NCBFG, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd (NCBJ) and GHL on September 30. He will, however, remain a director of Clarien Bank.
Julian Mair, a veteran Jamaican investment executive, will replace Almeida as Group CEO of NCB Financial Group Ltd (NCBFG) on November 17.
Mair, will assume the top job at NCBFG on November 17.
NCBFG acquired a majority interest in GHL in May 2019.
Since the acquisition, the chief executive of NCBFG has traditionally also chaired the Guardian board.
NCBFG has put interim arrangements in place to bridge the seven-week period between Almeida’s departure and Mair’s arrival.
Dave Garcia will become Group Chief Operating Officer effective September 1 and will serve as acting Group CEO from October 1 until Mair assumes the position on November 17.
Garcia previously served as NCBFG’s Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. That position will be taken over by NCBJ company secretary Ky-Ann Taylor, also effective September 1.
At the banking subsidiary, Sheree Martin has been confirmed as CEO of NCBJ from September 1. Martin had been acting in the position since January 2026 following the resignation of Bruce Bowen.
The management changes come as NCBFG continues to oversee one of the Caribbean’s largest financial groups, with operations spanning banking, insurance and wealth management.
For the nine months ended June 30, NCBFG reported net operating income of J$96.2 billion and net profit of J$18.6 billion.
At the end of the period, the group had total assets of J$2.43 trillion and shareholders’ equity of J$273.65 billion. (TT$1 = JM$23.31)
