A teenag­er has died af­ter be­ing shot by un­known as­sailants and dropped off at hos­pi­tal.

Jae­don Mc In­tire, 15, of Mt Hope Road, Mt Hope – was dropped at the Ac­ci­dent & Emer­gency De­part­ment, Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex around mid­night, with gun­shot wounds to the back.

Of­fi­cers of the St Joseph CID re­ceived a call from hos­pi­tal staff re­gard­ing the vic­tim – but were un­able to in­ter­view him as doc­tors at­tempt­ed to re­sus­ci­tate him af­ter he be­came un­re­spon­sive.

The vic­tim’s broth­er who lives at First Street, Mt Lam­bert who was al­so at the hos­pi­tal, told of­fi­cers

He was not aware of where Jae­don was when he was shot, or with whom, and who had dropped him off.
