A total of 95 Dominican Republic nationals, 89 men and six women, were repatriated from the United States after completing prison sentences or legal proceedings for various offences.
The group arrived at the Las Américas International Airport on Tuesday, aboard a special flight chartered by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Upon arrival, they were received by officials from the General Directorate of Immigration, the National Police, and CESAC.
Under tight security, the individuals were transported to the Haina Vacation Reception Centre, where they will undergo identification, psychological assessments, and reintegration orientation.
According to preliminary data, so far this year, over 1,200 Dominican Republic nationals have been repatriated.
