A to­tal of 95 Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic na­tion­als, 89 men and six women, were repa­tri­at­ed from the Unit­ed States af­ter com­plet­ing prison sen­tences or le­gal pro­ceed­ings for var­i­ous of­fences.

The group ar­rived at the Las Améri­c­as In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port on Tues­day, aboard a spe­cial flight char­tered by U.S. Im­mi­gra­tion and Cus­toms En­force­ment (ICE).

Up­on ar­rival, they were re­ceived by of­fi­cials from the Gen­er­al Di­rec­torate of Im­mi­gra­tion, the Na­tion­al Po­lice, and CE­SAC. 

Un­der tight se­cu­ri­ty, the in­di­vid­u­als were trans­port­ed to the Haina Va­ca­tion Re­cep­tion Cen­tre, where they will un­der­go iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, psy­cho­log­i­cal as­sess­ments, and rein­te­gra­tion ori­en­ta­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to pre­lim­i­nary da­ta, so far this year, over 1,200 Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic na­tion­als have been repa­tri­at­ed.
