A former employee of the Airports Authority is suing the organization, alleging assault and negligence after a workplace incident with a colleague, which took place in March 2023.

Julio Robinson claims he suffered physical and psychiatric injuries.

Robinson, represented by attorneys Nicholas Persad and Isabell Rahim, says the AATT failed to provide a safe work environment.

The Authority has until January 3, 2025, to respond.

Just last Tuesday, a security officer assigned to the Airports Authority was accused of assaulting a senior Immigration Officer when he reported for his shift at the Piarco International Airport.

The Airports Authority says that incident is still under investigation.
