An­oth­er girls’ dor­mi­to­ry was de­stroyed by fire on Thurs­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, ear­ly Thurs­day, short­ly be­fore 3:00 am (lo­cal time), the blaze de­stroyed an­oth­er dor­mi­to­ry, this time in Karasabai, Rupu­nuni, in Re­gion 9, to the south of here, but so far, there are no re­ports of in­juries.

The cause of the fire was not im­me­di­ate­ly known.

Ac­cord­ing to gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials, “a full team of tech­ni­cal of­fi­cials and a cab­i­net mem­ber are en route to Karasabai, Re­gion Nine, where a dor­mi­to­ry was de­stroyed by fire.”

This in­ci­dent fol­lows last month’s tragedy in which a fire at the Mah­dia Sec­ondary School’s fe­male dor­mi­to­ry killed 20 stu­dents.

A 15-year-old stu­dent has since been charged with mur­der.
