The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is mourning the passing of No.7579 PC Surab Ali who tested positive for Covid-19 and passed away on December 15th.

The Commissioner of Police (Ag.) Mc Donald Jacob and members of the Executive, family, friends, and colleagues shared their deepest condolences at his passing.

According to the TTPS: “PC Ali, 43, who enlisted into the TTPS on December 15th, 2012 was last attached to the Finance Branch – Police Stores, Arima.

Sgt. Selwyn Legendre, of the Finance Branch – Stores warehouse in Arima, when asked to comment on the passing of the officer, said that he is unable to find the words to adequately describe him, but was able to bring himself to share that when he heard of the news, “I broke down in tears.”

He added, “PC Ali was a hard worker who demonstrated a strong sense of pride on the job. The loss is a blow to the unit and moreover the organisation.” PC Ali leaves to mourn his wife and two daughters.”

During my consultation with Ms Brafit CEO Nicole Joseph-Chin, what was supposed to be a simple mastectomy bra fitting became something much deeper. Her thoughtful questions unlocked emotions I didn’t even realise I was holding in. She comforted, reassured, and helped me face the truth of what was coming. That bra wasn’t just clothing—it was the first real symbol of life after surgery.
