An Arouca man was robbed of his car, a gold chain and $60,000 cash in Tacarigua, after the bandits bounced his car, forcing him to stop whilst in traffic.
The 42-year-old of St Clair Road in Arouca was driving his black Nissan Tiida along the Eastern Main Road around 4:45 pm on Thursday, when he felt another vehicle collide with his in the vicinity of St Michael Street in Tacarigua.
As he exited his car to speak with the driver of the car that had hit him, the front seat passenger of that car emerged and pointed a gun at him and demanded cash and valuables.
The victim was robbed of a gold chain valued $13,000; $60,000 in cash; and his car valued at $45,000.
The gunman then got into the victim’s car and drove off, followed by his accomplice.
The victim’s car was later recovered at Paradise East in Tacarigua.
