Investigations are continuing as to why a 24-year-old man with no fixed place of abode was killed in Tacarigua on Sunday afternoon.
According to a police report, at about 5.15 pm Dayne Medina was found dead in a drain at Singh Street, Tacarigua.
His body, which was found lying on its left side, face down in a drain, bore wounds about the head and torso.
Medina was clad in black short pants with red stripes and he was bareback, bare feet with a green and white cloth covering his head. A blue bag was strapped to the right shoulder.
The District Medical Officer viewed the body and ordered its removal pending an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre.
Officers who processed the scene found and retrieved 12 spent 9mm shell casings.
