In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing as to why a 24-year-old man with no fixed place of abode was killed in Tacarigua on Sun­day af­ter­noon.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 5.15 pm Dayne Med­i­na was found dead in a drain at Singh Street, Tacarigua.

His body, which was found ly­ing on its left side, face down in a drain, bore wounds about the head and tor­so.

Med­i­na was clad in black short pants with red stripes and he was bare­back, bare feet with a green and white cloth cov­er­ing his head. A blue bag was strapped to the right shoul­der.

The Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer viewed the body and or­dered its re­moval pend­ing an au­top­sy at the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre.

Of­fi­cers who processed the scene found and re­trieved 12 spent 9mm shell cas­ings.
