The body that was found dumped in the St Ann’s Riv­er par­tial­ly wrapped in black garbage bags has been iden­ti­fied as 29-year-old Yan­nick Shaquille War­ren. War­ren, of Bel­mont, was found dead on Sun­day morn­ing.

Po­lice are yet how­ev­er to de­ter­mine the cir­cum­stances that sur­rounds War­ren’s death that they be­lieve was un­nat­ur­al. It was re­port­ed that at about 11:30 am res­i­dents of Fondes Aman­des Road saw the body of a man ly­ing on a mat­tress un­der a bridge in the area.

When po­lice ar­rived on the scene and checked they saw the body par­tial­ly cov­ered in black garbage plas­tic bags. The body was viewed by a dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer and or­dered re­moved from the scene pend­ing an au­top­sy to de­ter­mine the ac­tu­al cause of death.
