A businessman was robbed of $50,000 in cash on Christmas night in Curepe, after a man broke his car window and grabbed two bags from the front seat.
The 35-year-old businessman, from Pouchet Street in San Fernando, had parked his black Honda CRV in the Persad’s parking lot around 10:20 pm on December 25.
Video footage showed the suspect breaking the front passenger window and taking two black bags containing $20,000 and $30,000, along with a carbon tank valued at $5,000.
In a separate incident nearby on Boxing Day, a Massy Stores employee in St Augustine reported a break-in around 3:45 am.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect cutting a hole in the front glass panel. Two cases of alcoholic beverages, valued at $500, were taken.
