In­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tin­ue in­to the mur­der of a man in Co­corite on Mon­day night.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the vic­tim as Kwasi King, 20, of Up­per Co­corite Ter­race, Co­corite.

Of­fi­cers said the vic­tim was sit­ting on a wall along the street around 9.30 pm when two gun­men walked up and be­gan shoot­ing at him.

King was shot mul­ti­ple times in the head and up­per body, and col­lapsed on the road, where he was found by the team of first re­spon­ders, which in­clud­ed po­lice of­fi­cers and sol­diers.

Of­fi­cers said a to­tal of 14 spent 9mm shell cas­ings were found at the scene.

King was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival at the St James Med­ical Com­plex.
