Po­lice are us­ing dif­fer­ent tech­no­log­i­cal tools to try and fol­low leads in­to the mur­der of off-du­ty Spe­cial Re­serve Po­lice (SRP) Cor­po­ral Charles Kublals­ingh.

Kublals­ingh, 56, was gunned down on Wood­ford Street, Curepe, on Sat­ur­day night.

The killer stole Kublals­ingh’s Glock 45 pis­tol and his Toy­ota Field­er Wag­on.

The gun­man es­caped, leav­ing Kublals­ingh’s car be­hind on a street off La Cau­ri­ta Road, St Joseph.

In an up­date on the in­ves­ti­ga­tion yes­ter­day, se­nior po­lice said of­fi­cers of the Cy­ber and So­cial Me­dia Unit were work­ing close­ly with in­ves­ti­ga­tors from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II in view­ing se­cu­ri­ty cam­era footage of Kublals­ingh’s mur­der.
They are al­so us­ing tech­nol­o­gy to try and tri­an­gu­late cell­phone ac­tiv­i­ty in the area.

Po­lice sources said this could be valu­able in de­ter­min­ing whether the killer was called to the area.
While no one has been ar­rest­ed for the mur­der thus far, po­lice said sev­er­al sus­pects have been iden­ti­fied.

A mo­tive for the mur­der is still un­clear.

Kublals­ingh was as­signed to the San Juan Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice but was on va­ca­tion leave at the time of the in­ci­dent.
