Ac­ci­dent vic­tim Saeed Ali is in ur­gent need of blood af­ter a se­ri­ous road traf­fic ac­ci­dent last Fri­day.

The ac­ci­dent claimed the life of 60-year-old Hy­matie Ali—his moth­er—while In­shan Ali, 57, his fa­ther, is al­so hos­pi­talised in the In­ten­sive Care Unit of the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex.

Po­lice said Hy­matie was seat­ed in the front pas­sen­ger seat of a Mit­subishi Lancer, which was be­ing dri­ven by Saeed. In­shan was seat­ed in the back seat at the time of the col­li­sion.

The fam­i­ly’s ve­hi­cle was in­volved in a crash with a black Lexus SUV dri­ven by a man from Val­sayn.

Syrah Ali, 31, daugh­ter of Hy­matie and In­shan, said her fa­ther and broth­er were both trans­ferred to the In­ten­sive Care Unit at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex on Sun­day morn­ing. While they un­der­went emer­gency treat­ment for mul­ti­ple in­ter­nal in­juries, as well as nu­mer­ous frac­tures and bro­ken bones, Saeed re­mains in need of blood.

Syrah said blood do­na­tions can be made at any blood bank, and donors are asked to make the do­na­tion chit out to Saeed.
