Accident victim Saeed Ali is in urgent need of blood after a serious road traffic accident last Friday.
The accident claimed the life of 60-year-old Hymatie Ali—his mother—while Inshan Ali, 57, his father, is also hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit of the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Police said Hymatie was seated in the front passenger seat of a Mitsubishi Lancer, which was being driven by Saeed. Inshan was seated in the back seat at the time of the collision.
The family’s vehicle was involved in a crash with a black Lexus SUV driven by a man from Valsayn.
Syrah Ali, 31, daughter of Hymatie and Inshan, said her father and brother were both transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex on Sunday morning. While they underwent emergency treatment for multiple internal injuries, as well as numerous fractures and broken bones, Saeed remains in need of blood.
Syrah said blood donations can be made at any blood bank, and donors are asked to make the donation chit out to Saeed.
