As Christ­mas ap­proach­es, crim­i­nals are be­ing warned to stay out of San Fer­nan­do, by May­or Ju­nia Re­grel­lo.

The San Fer­nan­do may­or is­sued the warn­ing this morn­ing, as he em­barked on a walk about along the shop­ping cen­tre in San Fer­nan­do along High Street, ac­com­pa­nied by se­nior mem­bers of the Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice and the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice, as well as Greater San Fer­nan­do Area Cham­ber of Com­merce pres­i­dent, Ki­ran Singh.

The group met with busi­ness peo­ple, lis­tened to their con­cerns and spoke to them about the COVID-19 reg­u­la­tions.  They al­so as­sured shop­pers and busi­ness peo­ple that there will be a high po­lice pres­ence, as well as joint army pa­trols.  

With re­gards to park­ing is­sues in the south­ern city, May­or Re­grel­lo said des­ig­nat­ed park­ing ar­eas have been set up along Har­ris Prom­e­nade.  He re­vealed that he has asked the wreck­er to ex­er­cise a rea­son­able lev­el of le­nien­cy. 

How­ev­er, the San Fer­nan­do may­or made it clear that on­ly street ven­dors reg­is­tered with the San Fer­nan­do City Cor­po­ra­tion will be al­lowed to vend on the street on spe­cif­ic days.
