Western Division police were yesterday searching for a man who injured his girlfriend during an argument and left her lying on the road bleeding.
Police said the 39-year-old woman, from Diego Martin, was engaged in a heated argument with the suspect on the road outside her home around 3 am on Tuesday — when relatives heard her cry out.
As they rushed outside, they found the woman lying on the road with a wound to the back of her neck.
The woman’s brother contacted the police, who arrived later and took her to the St James Medical Centre where she was treated and discharged.
Several searches for the suspect proved futile.
