A 21-year-old El So­cor­ro woman was re­port­ed­ly raped at her home on Fri­day, by a man known to her.

The vic­tim told po­lice she was at home alone around 11 am on April 25, when she heard some­one knock­ing on the door.

The woman said she got off her bed and opened the door to see the sus­pect, whom she knows.

Po­lice said the woman was al­leged­ly grabbed by both of her hands and they were tied with a piece of cloth. She was pushed back on­to the bed be­fore the sus­pect pro­ceed­ed to rape her.

The sus­pect re­port­ed­ly un­tied the woman af­ter he was fin­ished, and walked out of the house.

Po­lice of­fi­cers vis­it­ed the woman’s apart­ment and col­lect­ed a bed sheet, a t-shirt, a pair of un­der­wear, and a pair of short pants as part of the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

The vic­tim was tak­en to the El So­cor­ro Health Cen­tre where she was med­ical­ly ex­am­ined.

Of­fi­cers were up to yes­ter­day search­ing for the sus­pect who lives in Aranguez.
