Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice, Er­la Hare­wood- Christo­pher, has pro­mot­ed 81 po­lice of­fi­cers – four of­fi­cers to the rank of In­spec­tor and 77 of­fi­cers to the rank of Sergeant of Po­lice.

Christo­pher con­grat­u­lat­ed the of­fi­cers, stat­ing that the pro­mo­tions were much more than an el­e­va­tion, as they were earned by the of­fi­cers through their con­sis­tent hard work and should al­low for an in­crease in their morale, with a view of be­ing am­bas­sadors of great­ness on be­half of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS).

The Com­mis­sion­er added that “to­day, you step in­to roles that car­ry even greater re­spon­si­bil­i­ty, par­tic­u­lar­ly in these chal­leng­ing times when crime rates are high, and we are work­ing un­der a State of Emer­gency. Your lead­er­ship, com­mit­ment, and per­for­mance will be vi­tal to en­sur­ing that we con­tin­ue to serve and pro­tect the peo­ple of this na­tion ef­fec­tive­ly.”
