THA Chief Sec­re­tary Far­ley Au­gus­tine is al­leg­ing a con­spir­a­cy in­volv­ing the prime min­is­ter and oth­er PNM of­fi­cials as well as the Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice, to dis­cred­it his ad­min­is­tra­tion.

This morn­ing at a spe­cial ple­nary sit­ting of the THA Au­gus­tine played video record­ings of what he said was a whistle­blow­er who claimed to be a par­tic­i­pant in the scheme and was ex­pect­ed to be paid for a wit­ness state­ment and a statu­to­ry de­c­la­ra­tion.

The whistle­blow­er al­so claimed to have been threat­ened to com­ply with the in­struc­tions from the of­fi­cials.

Dur­ing the sit­ting, Au­gus­tine al­so pre­sent­ed im­ages of the re­cent po­lice search war­rants ex­e­cut­ed on THA of­fi­cials in­clud­ing him­self. Au­gus­tine claimed the re­cent de­vel­op­ments were tan­ta­mount to po­lit­i­cal per­se­cu­tion.

Far­ley said he has in­struct­ed his at­tor­neys to write to the Pres­i­dent, the Po­lice Com­mis­sion­er and the Po­lice Com­plaints Au­thor­i­ty re­gard­ing his pos­ses­sion of ev­i­dence sug­gest­ing bribery, im­prop­er po­lit­i­cal be­hav­iour, po­lice mis­be­hav­iour and cor­rup­tion and that the cur­rent po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion was not fair or trans­par­ent.
