Five people were arrested and two firearms seized during separate exercises across the Northern, Eastern and Southern Divisions on Tuesday.
In the Eastern Division, officers attached to the Manzanilla Police Post arrested two men around 4:30 pm after finding a pistol loaded with a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition.
Between 1 am and 4 am in the Northern Division, officers searched an apartment building in the district and discovered a pistol along with nine rounds of ammunition.
Later that evening in the Princes Town district, officers arrested a 29-year-old San Fernando man for larceny of a motor vehicle, a 31-year-old Princes Town man for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and a 45-year-old Iere Village man for breaching a protection order. The exercise ran from 8 pm to 11 pm.
Investigations are ongoing.
