Four in­di­vid­u­als have been charged in con­nec­tion with two sep­a­rate mur­ders and the seizure of sev­er­al firearms and quan­ti­ties of am­mu­ni­tion this week.

Gary St. Hillaire, aka ‘Gary Boy’, 22, Mal­colm Camp­bell, aka ‘Gabriel’, 22 and Tevin Ce­les­tine, 32, all of Mar­aval, were ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions, (HBI) Re­gion One and West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force (WDTF), on Au­gust 4.

They were want­ed in con­nec­tion with the death of 18-year-old Roger Ce­les­tine and the wound­ing of a male vic­tim, on Au­gust 3, in the Mar­aval dis­trict.

Ce­les­tine, was in the com­pa­ny of oth­er per­sons at his Paramin home when they were ac­cost­ed by a group of armed men who shot at them. The vic­tim died at the scene, while an­oth­er man was tak­en to hos­pi­tal for treat­ment.

The trio was charged with the of­fences of mur­der and at­tempt­ed mur­der.

The ac­cused are ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a Port of Spain Mag­is­trate on Fri­day Au­gust 11 to an­swer to the charges.

Mean­while, Ka­reem Bal­go­b­in, 22, of Point Fortin, ap­peared in the Point Fortin Mag­is­trates’ Court on Wednes­day, charged with the mur­der of Tevin Ste­fon Fran­cois which oc­curred on June 28.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to Au­gust 21.

Re­ports in­di­cate that on June 28, of­fi­cers found the life­less body of the vic­tim with wounds to his head and face at Mc Ken­zie Fields Road, Point Fortin.

Bal­go­b­in is the sec­ond per­son charged in con­nec­tion with this mur­der.

Of­fi­cers pre­vi­ous­ly charged 28-year-old Yunus Ali of Ce­dros with the of­fence on Ju­ly 21.
