Af­ter care­ful­ly comb­ing through thick crude, the de­com­pos­ing body of the fourth div­er Rishi Nages­sar was fi­nal­ly re­cov­ered dur­ing the wee hours of Thurs­day morn­ing.

In a state­ment, Paria Fu­el Trad­ing an­nounced that the body was re­cov­ered at 12:36 am.

The state­ment read: "It is with a deep sense of sad­ness that we con­firm that the body of Rishi Na­gas­sar, the fourth div­er, was re­cov­ered. Paria has ad­vised the fam­i­ly and ex­tend­ed con­do­lences on be­half of man­age­ment and staff."

The com­pa­ny said it has of­fered coun­selling sup­port to the fam­i­lies and loved ones of the four divers.

On Tues­day, one day af­ter the three oth­er divers were found, Paria be­gan search­ing the line us­ing ro­bot­ic cam­eras.

The re­cov­ery op­er­a­tion was de­scribed as com­plex.

Paria said it had to be con­duct­ed with ex­treme care giv­en the fact that the bod­ies were lodged be­hind div­ing equip­ment in a 30-inch pipeline, 60 feet be­low the sur­face and more than 100 feet along the seabed.

Paria said, "The Min­istry of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries has an­nounced plans to ini­ti­ate an in­de­pen­dent in­ves­ti­ga­tion to de­ter­mine the root cause of the in­ci­dent and to make ap­pro­pri­ate rec­om­men­da­tions. This has been a pro­found loss for the fam­i­lies, their em­ploy­er LM­CS, and the en­tire coun­try. Paria thanks the emer­gency re­sponse team, the Paria In­ci­dent Man­age­ment Team (IMT) and the ex­ter­nal agen­cies who pro­vid­ed un­wa­ver­ing sup­port dur­ing this dif­fi­cult pe­ri­od."

On Feb­ru­ary 25th at 2:30 pm, Nages­sar, Christo­pher Boodram, Fyzal Kur­ban, Yusuff Hen­ry and Kaz­im Ali Ju­nior were con­duct­ing un­der­wa­ter main­te­nance on the pipeline lo­cat­ed at No 36 Sealine ris­er on Berth No 6 at the Paria fa­cil­i­ty when tragedy struck.

The men were in an LM­CS hy­per­bar­ic cham­ber when the in­ci­dent oc­curred. On­ly Boodram made it out alive. He is cur­rent­ly ward­ed at the hos­pi­tal.

One div­er was able to make his way out of the cham­ber and has since been hos­pi­tal­ized.
